More About Daneal
A Little Background
I'm a local girl, born and raised in North Saint Louis County. I've been fascinated by computers since my first BASIC computer class in 1989. I picked up my first learn to draw book at the age of ten and have been creating things ever since. It took me until 1998 to figure out that I could combine my artistic side with my logical side and create on the Internet. This realization led to my very first personal site, draakchaos.com, in 2001.
In Spring of 2005, I had the opportunity to go back to college and get a degree. By Spring of 2008 I had two Associate of Applied Science Degrees; one in Multimedia/Web Design and the other in Database Management. I joined the Jerry Kelly Team in January of 2011 and had the chance to create many graphics and websites.
In the Past Year I Have...
- Set-up and managed domain names and hosting for Jerry Kelly Heating and Air Conditioning and Visible Defects, LLC. Including email address creation for all employees (current and new).
- Designed and Developed: jerrykelly.com, emeraldac.com, visibledefects.com, and several sites that never went live including jerrykellygreenmachine.com and buyrightstl.com.
- Set-up Jerry Kelly's Social Media accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Blogger) and linked them to jerrykelly.com.
- Learned how and created several Facebook landing pages to correspond to company events and promotions.
- Learned How-to, Designed and Implemented several downloadable, fillable, and savable PDF forms
- Learned more about PHP, created a couple of PHP website templates, and create several custom PHP contact/appointment/survey pages.
- Designed graphics for use in several projects including site revamps, email newsletter headers, navigation, flash applications, etc.
- Helped plan for and participated in events that the company was involved in such as St. Jude's Give Thanks. Walk.™ and the 2010 Eco Expo.
The Present
I'm currently looking to work for a company that knows what they want out of a website designer/developer, that is close to where I live, and can give me a working environment where I can continue to learn and grow. In the meantime, I am taking freelance gigs to supplement my income and to continue to build my portfolio.
During most of my free time, you will find me designing jewelry and wire sculpting trees or flowers. Yes, I LOVE sculpting in wire! When I can, I volunteer my time to help my friends with social networking, fundraising, and event planning. I like to help people!
